Spring Break with aunt Christy!!!

This year we were so excited to enjoy spring break with Nathan's sister Christy. She drove all the way up from Austin, where she's going to school at UT. We got to share her with Nathan's other sister Heidi. We loved her living at our house for almost a week!!! The kids as you can imagine absolutely loved spending time with their aunt.

Here's Christy first meeting little Linkin-

Their was an instant bond for Shelby. I've heard from a few people that Shelby looks like Christy. Fine with me Christy is gorgeous so I'll take it ;)

Like I said instant bond. I snuck this picture as Christy, clearly just getting out of the shower-hence the towel on head. I think they dosed off watching The Lion King. Talk about instant chemistry.

On this one I think I woke Christy up ;)

2 beautiful girls !!! She loved following Christy around. There was some much needed girl bonding time. Poor Ms. Shelby stuck in the middle of her two brothers- Christy gave her the attention she was needing.

Here's Shelby with another familiar face. Both aunts!!! Let me point out that none of them planned on matching it just happened. Makes a cute picture though. 3 beautiful girls.

GIRLS NIGHT

We were also able to have some girl bonding time- "Girls night" (Shelby wasn't able to attend due to bed time) Christy, Heidi & I were able to get together for an all girls night. We headed over to Heidi's for some yummy pizza, a good chick flick, delicious dessert (white chocolate covered strawberries) pedicures & of course girl talk. I really enjoyed my girls night (away from all kiddos by the way) with Nathan's sisters. I had so much fun, can't wait for the next one!

Christy surprised us with some delicious Oreo-balls : Oreos, Chocolate, White chocolate and creamcheese. Reciepe for delicious dessert! Christy also surprised me with help around the kitchen- doing dishes and help with clean up not to mention she so kindly babysat while Nathan and I went out for a movie- thanks Christy.

A trip to HOGLE

We kept making jokes that there were 3 adults and 3 kids and we were all pretty busy helping each other out. I think a lot of it had to do with the kids were super excited being at the zoo for one- not like we go there everyday and #2 they loved having Christy with them.

It was so exciting watching them discover all of the different animals. Definitely worth the stress.

As you can see Link enjoyed things in his own way.
The boys representing for Christy.
All of my guys ;)
Shelby and Ethan really enjoyed this giraffe- "wow he's so big" (Ethan the question man-) "Mommy how did he get so tall?"
Ethan enjoyed this bird.
Shelby was mostly in awe at the animals. She was just in a trance studying them.

Ethan of course always enjoys the snakes which if anyone knows Nathan it's kind of funny that this would be an interest of Ethans. Nathan growing up lived out in the country and apparently has a fear from childhood of snakes. I guess he ran into quite a few as a child- yikes!!!
They both loved this HUGE turtle type animal- didn't quite find out exactly what it was. Some type of turtle.
Fun on the merry-go-round.
We all had fun!
Lots of fun at the Zoo!!!
The Mayan Adventure ~

We made a trip down to the Mayan restaurant. Good food and good entertainment.

Here's a description I got from the web that explains it better : Dinner here is an unforgettable event, but it's not the food that you'll remember. Diners are greeted outside by two serpent sculptures with glowing eyes, and inside by an Indiana Jones-like adventurer's camp where cliff divers hurl themselves 40 feet into the pool below. The sights and sounds of Mexico are a little kitschy but your kids will be wide-eyed nonetheless. An extensive menu means there's something for everyone.

And of course the kids were wide-eyed. It was Christy's first time there so lots of fun.

Shelby was chowing down on salsa and chips.

Checking out the divers=>

Had to post these fun pics too.

Don't think Shelby realizes she's laying in front of a snakes fangs.
No fear from E as usual.
FAREWELL BREAKFAST
Shelby discovers her chocolate chip muffin.
Tests it out-
And devours it.
Poor guy doesn't know what's going on.
We love you Christy.
Can't wait for your next visit. Love ya!
This girl misses you the most!!!
