Blessing in Boise

This last weekend we drove up to Boise for my brother Brent's baby's blessing. I have an aunt who lives there so we got to visit her family as well. We had so much fun with everyone, wish we could do it more. Ethan had so much fun with his 2nd cousins, especially Kaylee, a big thanks goes out to her, Ethan loves you!

I have a ton of pictures but I wanted to make sure I posted all of them for the family that couldn't make it out for the occasion. We missed you!

A shot of the guys- I think the boys all had a pretty good trip. My dad and brothers are all really into golf & fishing (among other things of course) but on this little get a way we only had time for a couple things. Dad & the bros took Nathan out fishing a couple of times which consisted of Nathan wearing some pretty funky plastic over-all pants or something like that. Apparently it was quite the sight but unfortunately no pics of that, I wonder why?!?!?!? They also got to go out and play 9 holes of golf which Nathan is really getting into. I'm glad the Carver boys could show my hubby a good time, thanks :)

Amazing Air Show

Here's another one of our summer adventures.........the airshow. This was especially fun for Nathan and Ethan. There were so many really cool planes to look at. The best part of course was the Thunderbirds, be sure to check them out.

Here's daddy's little gift to Ethan- an F16. He loves it so much, it goes everywhere with him.......flying of course. Maybe Ethan will grow up and be a pilot.........We'll see.

Shelby didn't really have a clue what was going on. She just heard loud noise every once in a while whenever a plane took off. Poor girl hope her ears are ok ;) The last time we went to an air show it was 2.5 years ago. I was preg with Efytom and I was worried about it damaging his ears then. Man how time flies.

Here's a few shots of some really cool planes.

To end the show we found a Katana which was the same type of plane Nathan use to fly, back in his pilot days. I'm hoping Nathan will eventually some day get his private license so he can fly us around. Someday..............

Summer time, Summer time, sum, sum Summertime.

I know everyone must think I have died from the blogging world. ha ha sorry. We have just been incredibly busy this summer. So I'm going to try and play catch up. Here goes =>

First we went to the American Fork carnival, lots of fun. The kids loved it. I was so surprised how brave Ethan was, he wanted to ride on every ride practically. There was this one in particular that stands out. It was the "dragon ride" scary I'm sure you can imagine. It wasn't a little toddler ride, it was a grown up ride for sure but he really wanted to ride on it. SOOOO we waited in line and Mr. grown up Ethan loads the ride all by himself. I've always tried not to baby Ethan b/c he is a boy and I know it would bug Nathan if I did but sometimes I worry that we made him too tough for his own good. He'll hurt himself like little kids do all the time but the boy NEVER cries. We'll say, "Oh no Ethan you ok buddy?" and he'll shut us up really quick, "I'm ok, I'm ok" like I'm not weak, I'm a man. Sometimes I wish he would, b/c he hides it and sometimes that's not always good. ANYWAY so he loads the ride all by himself and gets in his own cart. There was a little girl in the cart in front of him who was about 8 years old and then right before the controller started the ride she started whining saying she needed someone to ride with her so the controller grabbed Ethan and put him in the front with her. (baby) So my tough guy (2years old) is in the front protecting his damsel. Unfortunately the pictures didn't turn out from this ride....too bad too he was so cute. Every time the ride came around he just gave me a thumbs up, as everyone else is screaming. What a cool guy !!!!

Here's some other of our fun pictures we took :

Our two loaded up in the stroller-

E-tom on one of the rides-

This was a craft section with lots of little crafts for children. Ethan decided he wanted to make some masks for he and Shelby. He's a creative boy.

A little help from Mommy & Daddy-

All ready to go!

And Miss Shelbel

This particular part Daddy & Ethan especially loved- Cool army stuff

Woah watch out for Nathan...

Ever seen "Back to the Future"....(had to get a shot of this) One of my families favorite movies growing up (the 80's ha ha) I know my brother Bryan on the mission in Mexico would especially laugh at this shot- "Great Scott!"

Look at those cute guys :)

Bye bye.......
(more posting to come for catch up)
