More Birthday Fun! (part 2)

There's more to the birthday fun....but I messed up entering it in, ha ha I'm still learning on this blog : ) For Ethan's birthday party we just had a little one....compared to his 1st birthday ......30 people at least ( ha ha ) this one was a lot more relaxed and simple. We just had a couple of good friends over, (Tara, Ben and their little girl Harmony) and Aunt Heidi. It was very nice and much easier !

Here's Ethan trying to figure out how to get the balloons down, ha ha. Nathan came home with a little surprise for Ethan... a bunch of balloons filled with helium. You'd think that that was one of his presents. You know how kids go though; most of the time they enjoy the things that aren't even met to be presents. He got a kick out of the "floating balloons".
More birthday pictures.......
(very goofy smile )Here's Ethan after opening his new fish, "Emo". He loved it so much, and still does (thank goodness) you know how sometimes things get old after a few days. He is very responsible with his fishy. Every morning he'll wake up and go down to the kitchen asking for "Emo" so we can feed him, and then again at night. Of course I so much enjoy the easy pet. We would love to get a dog for him but we can't have one at this place.....so later on.
Here's Ethan with his Aunt Heidi! We always love to get presents from Heidi b/c they're usually books, which we love! Ethan loves "Curious George" which was one of the books and the other was about Trains, which works out perfect b/c of Ethan's fascination with Thomas. I love that he loves Thomas, my brother Bryan introduced him to it last x-mas. Soon after that Bryan left on his mission so it always makes me think of Bryan and that's how Ethan remembers him, the fun guy that got him his Thomas movies : )

This present is just early for Halloween. I did want to sew him a costume.....but with the pregnancy and all maybe I'll just skip this year and do it next year. There's a cute story behind this...... We were in Walmart picking up some decorations, cake, ice cream etc and I decided just to walk by the Hallooween costumes to see what has available. He must have seen the superman costume and he started singing the theme..."da, da ,da". I was impressed that he knew the tune. Then he yelled out "SUPERMAN!!!" I thought ok this is it.....we'll have a little superman this year for Halloween!
Cheezy grin & eating up "Emo" cake.

We love our little Ethan so much. I can't believe he is 2 years old! I know he's still so little but these past 2 years have flown by as I'm sure other mothers can attest to. We are so happy that Ethan is such a smart, curious, cute, fun-loving little boy. Happy Birthday Ethan!
(other birthday posts to come: circus fun!)

I love the cake, you did such a good job! You look amazing in the pictures, it looks like you're only carrying it right in front (you know how they say that's the way when you're having a girl?). Cute shirt and everything. You are just one of those cute pregnant people - not everyone can pull it off but you look great!
PS: I want to see a close up of E with the new haircut

I wish we didn't live so far apart! I wish we could have been there! You did such a good job on the party, and he looks so much older than he did just a couple of months ago, it must be the hair. Happy Birthday Ethan!
